So, you have done your job of creating great content, you have a clear proposition value and your site looks great but you haven’t lead your site visitors to engage with you through a call-to-action button or statement.
There is much written about creating a sales funnel for your website. The end of the funnel is asking or causing someone to take action, aka the call-to-action. That action could be:
• Purchasing a product or service,
• Requesting a demo or initial consultation,
• Signing up for a free newsletter,
• Ordering a free sample of a product,
• Signing up for a course, etc.
You must be clear on what action you want your site visitors to take, if they see your value proposition. You will never get the “sell” if you never ask.
Most websites are businesses with products and/or services they are offering. We will never close a sale, get someone to register for a newsletter, or sign up for a course, if we don’t ask. We can’t assume that site visitors will take the action, we desire them take, on their own. We must present the opportunity, in the appropriate locations on our website, without coming across as pushy. If you don’t include the CTA, opportunities will “walk out of the door”, maybe never to return.
Don’t miss out on valuable opportunities. You may not get another opportunity with a potential prospect. They may bounce and never return. Have a clear call-to-action on your site.
